Wine Spectator ranks 2004 Winemaker's Select Syrah at 90 Points, and 2004 Tributary at 91 Points!

In the November issue of Wine Spectator Russell Creek Winery's 2004 Syrah and 2004 Tributary received 90 and 91 points respectively.  Both wines are for sale at $35.00 a bottle for the Syrah and $20.00 a bottle for the Tributary.  Wine Spectator described the 2004 Tributary as "a supple red, with layers of cherry, currant, mint and cedar flavors, plus a cinnamon note that adds interest to the long, focused finish."  The 2004 Syrah received equal praise being described as "a firm Syrah, with lively blackberry, cherry and floral flavors, picking up white pepper and white chocolate note son the fine-grained finish."

Wine Spectator ranks 2003 WS Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon at 91 points

In the October 15th, 2006 issue of Wine Spectator, Russell Creek's 2003 Winemaker's Select Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon both received 91 points.  Mr. Harvey Steiman claimed the 2003 WS Cabernet Sauv. to be "bright, juicy and focused.  A lively mouthful of fresh currant, huckleberry and dusky spice, with hints of vanilla and cream as the velvety finish persists".  The 2003 WS Merlot received equal praise being described as "supple, graceful and generous with its raspberry-scented cherry and spice flavors.  Picks up enticing sage and cedar grace notes as the long finish plays out against fine tannins".  We are pre-selling the wines at $36.00 a bottle for the Merlot and $38.00 a bottle for the Cabernet.  Please call us if you are interested.
